Tom Adams / Alexander Carson / Freya Roy

Composer / electronic musician Tom Adams grew up near Cambridge, the flattest part of the UK. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, Tom’s heart has found a home in the wild and mountainous places of this earth. This love of nature is an ever present voice in his work, lending a widescreen quality to his music, from intimate piano moments to mountainous waves of sound.

He started playing the piano at a young age, and soon discovered that improvising and creating new music came a lot more naturally than reading dots on a page. This discovery blossomed when he bought his first guitar as a teenager and Tom soon started to write his own songs, his haunting voice has drawn comparisons to singers like Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley. Going on to study music at the University of York he had the opportunity to work with both classical and electronic music, the combination of which has become the defining aspect of his sound.

Combining his natural ability to improvise with his classical training and electronic music knowledge Tom is able to move seamlessly between styles whilst always maintaining a strong overall aesthetic. The result is a breathtaking and beautiful musical experience that is a perfect soundtrack to mountains and wild beaches.

Tom recently remixed Max Richter’s ‘Berlin By Overnight’, released by Deutsche Grammophon, and also composed the OST for the Universal Pictures feature film ‘The Knife That Killed Me’. His self-released EP ‘In The Constant Noise’ is out now.

The Rabbitts Live in Norwich! W/Billy Lubach

Title:  The Rabbitts Live in Norwich! W/Billy Lubach

The Rabbitts are a British folk duo composed of Odhran and Lucy, their music is gentle, fun and riddled with natural imagery. As a couple the pair draw inspiration from their relationship, as well as old folk music and the new places they travel. The duo have just finished touring and travelling around Canada in a van that they lived in for over a year. They recently returned to the UK. Their latest album release 'Tall Pines & Tangled Vines' has received support from Norwich's own Future Radio and BBC Introducing as well as other online blogs and playlists.

"There’s nothing quite like a good “weird” folk record to subvert the nonsensical folk hybrids – this one is both hip and traditionally strange."- Jake Tully, Moxipop

"The Rabbitts embrace a minimalist beauty, exemplifying their knack for a gorgeous vocal delivery and their myriad of instrumental techniques." - Jonathan Frahm, For Folk's Sake

"Tall Pines & Tangled Vines is a playful LP with moody undertones that flood you with picturesque lyrics." - Aupium

Billy Lubach will be opening the show!

Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Billy Lubach sings wistful and nostalgic songs with a distinctive voice and style. The Norwich based musician takes fragments of childhood memories and weaves them into surreal but universally relatable narratives. His idiosyncratic approach to songwriting creates beautiful, uplifting melodies.

Doors open 7pm/ show starts 7:30pm

Gavin Osborn & Chris Tavener UK Tour
Oct

7:30 PM19:30

Gavin Osborn & Chris Tavener UK Tour

A Little OTT is the delightful pairing of acclaimed folk songwriter Gavin Osborn and popular satirical songwriter Chris Tavener. From Edinburgh to Exeter, these cafe-dwelling rascals will be going overboard in a city near you!

Expect an evening of heart-warming songs and many laughs.

Have yourself some Osborn Tavener Time; get a little too carried away with two of Britain's most spellbinding, hilarious and endearing singer-songwriters.

- GAVIN OSBORN -

With five acclaimed studio albums under his belt, singer-songwriter Gavin Osborn should be swimming in a sea of royalties and bathing in a bathtub of banknotes. But who needs it, right guys? He would rather tour the UK in his Vauxhall Zafira, to play small acoustic gigs in intimate rooms to a menagerie of misfits. That's the big time right there.

Regularly touring the UK and Europe, he's also a festival favourite (Latitude, Green Man, End of the Road) and known for his storytelling shows with Daniel Kitson (Stories For The Starlit Sky). Gavin is lucky enough to have worked with the likes of folk singer Grace Petrie, comedian Josie Long and poet Molly Naylor. He also supported Belle And Sebastian on their UK tour in 2010.

Featuring life-affirming, funny, personal and political songs, including some from his new record, 'Echo Bridge', which The Observer called “One of 2017’s most relatable releases and a comfort blanket for post-Brexit alienation”.

'Funny and touching' - Stewart Lee, The Sunday Times.

"Frustrated, angry, bewildered and aware of the utter ridiculousness of a world that has moved past your point of understanding" - The Guardian

'In true Loudon Wainwright spirit, he sings about serious things without taking himself too seriously. Splendidly sad tales of unrequited love and some proper protest music. Genuinely brilliant' - eFestivals

- CHRIS TAVENER -

Chris Tavener is the witty, satirical songwriter saying things that everybody thinks, but nobody says. Rock ‘n’ roll infused with comedy. Folk dipped in satire.
It’s like Peep Show set to music! If Jimmy Carr played guitar...he would be Chris Tavener.
“Comedic genius” - Pop Culture Pipebomb

Chris has been known to play as many as 350 gigs a year, making him one of the most hard-working singer-songwriters in the UK. He’s had endorsements from Carl Barat of The Libertines, Will Ferrell’s ‘Funny Or Die’, Paddy McGuinness, Jamie Lawson and Steve Lamacq of BBC 6 Music. Steve has played Chris’ tracks four times on national radio.

Originally from Northwich in Cheshire, Chris began writing and producing demo albums annually from age 17. He writes storytelling songs about the ironic comedy in everything from drunken romance, celebrity worship, football hooligans and small town problems. In the past year, Chris has performed at Glastonbury Festival, The Great Escape, Latitude Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe to name but a few.

In 2017, he recorded his first live album in two back-to-back, sold out shows at Manchester’s Three Minute Theatre. He followed that up with a national tour, which included dates supporting the likes of Peep Show’s Super Hans at Manchester Academy. His first album and DVD 'Is He Joking? (Live)' was released in April 2018.

"An interesting lad with an elastic turn of phrase" - Steve Lamacq, BBC 6 Music
"Nice set. Kinks-y vibes" - Carl Barat, The Libertines
"Brilliant!" - Jamie Lawson
"That was proper funny!" - Mike Sweeney (BBC Radio Manchester)
